Ron Paul on CNN

Some state parties allow registered independants to vote in a party primary. Unfortunately, those policies are often vague, hard to find, and could possibly be changed at the last minute. The only certain way to be able to vote for Paul in the primary is to be registered as a Republican.

One other note – if you are registered as an independant, but voted in another party’s primary (Democrat, Libertarian, etc) in the last election, it is possible your registration was automatically changed to that party. Just be aware that if that happened, you won’t be able to vote in the Republican primary.

The deadlines to change party affiliation are rapidly approaching for some states. In North Carolina, you can use this form to change affiliation. Do it before you forget.
